  5. The intensity of the light beam is controlled 
  6. by the small knob on the base of the unit 
  7. just to the right of the joystick.
  8.  
  9. There is also a small button on the base 
  10. near the light intensity control.  When this 
  11. button is held down the light intensity goes 
  12. to maximum.  This allows one to get 
  13. maximum illumination for a short time 
  14. without leaving the intensity at full strength 
  15. for prolonged periods which can be 
  16. uncomfortable to the patient and decrease 
  17. bulb life.
